About the Opportunity

As Senior Manager Counselling & Mediation Services, you will provide leadership, clinical expertise and strategic direction across our family and relationship counselling, mediation and parenting education programs. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who enjoys leading people, shaping services and responding creatively to complex community needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and mentoring a skilled team of counsellors
  • Ensuring services are evidence-based, child and family focused, culturally safe and compliant with legislation and funding requirements
  • Providing clinical advice and support across Anglicare NT programs, including high-risk and complex matters
  • Driving service development, innovation and continuous quality improvement
  • Building strong partnerships with community stakeholders and sector partners
  • Contributing to a positive, strengths-based workplace culture

About You

You are a confident, compassionate and valuesdriven leader who brings both clinical depth and people leadership to your work. You thrive in complex service environments and are motivated by making a meaningful difference for children, families and communities.

You bring a strengthsbased, traumainformed and culturally responsive approach, and lead with empathy, integrity and sound professional judgement. You are comfortable balancing strategic oversight with handson clinical support, and you know how to support teams working in highdemand, emotionally complex settings.

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in appropriate social science and/or relevant counselling or mediation related discipline e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Counselling
  • Minimum three years' experience in coordination, management or leadership role
  • Extensive experience in, and commitment to, high quality and evidence-based counselling practice with individuals and families
  • Experience in Family Dispute Resolution or Mediation, with an awareness of Child Inclusive Practice is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of effective professional supervision, direct line management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including family law, child protection, and domestic/family violence
  • Proven experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, staff and Aboriginal Controlled Organisations.
