About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for ensuring all GTASS properties are wellmaintained, compliant, and ready for resident occupancy. You will conduct property condition reports, schedule and complete inspections, coordinate maintenance activities with approved contractors, and maintain accurate tenancy documentation.

In addition, you will provide structured support to residents as they enter and engage with the program, ensuring they understand their tenancy responsibilities and the processes associated with transitional accommodation. You will respond to enquiries professionally, prepare tenancyrelated documents, and contribute to a culturally safe and highquality service environment that supports residents in their transition toward stable, independent housing.

To be successful you will hold:

  • Qualifications in Community Services/Administration
  • Two to three years direct experience working with high risk / vulnerable people and families in community-based environments (essential).
  • Knowledge of the housing & homelessness system.
  • Developed skills in tenancy management systems and processes and an understanding of tenancy rights and responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain personal and professional boundaries and make complex client related decision making.
  • Proven experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, staff and Aboriginal Controlled Organisations.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia; possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a valid NT driver’s licence. 

 

Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
