About the Opportunity

As a Senior Financial Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing financial hardship. Working collaboratively within a skilled team, you will provide highquality financial counselling services, advocate for participants, and mentor fellow Financial Counsellors across the East Arnhem region.

Your work will empower participants to build financial resilience, strengthen money management skills and make informed decisions about their financial future. Some travel to remote communities is required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) and professional registration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial counselling, wellbeing, microfinance or related sectors
  • Strong skills in casework, assessment, advocacy and participant engagement
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other staff
  • Ability to build effective networks and partnerships
  • Commitment to social justice and working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
