About the Opportunity

As Human Resource Advisor with Anglicare NT, you’ll play a key role in supporting the people who deliver essential services to communities across the Northern Territory. Working as part of a collaborative People & Culture team, you’ll provide practical, timely and peoplecentred HR advice that helps managers lead confidently and supports a positive employee experience across the organisation.

We are recruiting two HR Advisors, each with a distinct portfolio. One role will primarily support managers and teams across Darwin and Palmerston, working closely with local services to deliver responsive, daytoday HR support. The second role will support regional and remote services, including Alice Springs, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, East Arnhem and other remote locations. While both roles are based in Darwin, the regional portfolio includes regular travel to build strong ontheground relationships and provide facetoface support where it matters most.

In both positions, you’ll be trusted to manage a broad range of generalist HR matters across the employee lifecycle. You’ll work within established frameworks and delegated authority, partnering closely with managers to deliver fair, consistent and compliant outcomes, while ensuring your approach remains culturally safe, respectful and aligned with Anglicare NT’s values.

What We’re Looking For:

These roles will appeal to HR professionals who bring a culturally safe and respectful approach to their work, enjoy partnering with others, navigating complex situations, and making a genuine difference across diverse teams and communities.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A qualification in Human Resources or relevant experience in a generalist HR role
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employee lifecycle processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion and sound judgement
  • A demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culturally diverse communities
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, regional and remote operating environments

Note: The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), section 57 of the Antidiscrimination Act 1996 (NT) and section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.

Special Measures vacancies are open to everyone including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. However, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.

As part of the recruitment process, please address the key selection criteria using the online application on the Anglicare NT website.
