About the Opportunity

Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student interested in building skills in business or administration while you complete your schooling?

Anglicare NT is offering an exciting School-Based Traineeship that allows you to earn, learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification in a supportive and culturally safe workplace.

This traineeship is designed to support you to:

  • Gain hands-on experience in a real office environment
  • Complete a Certificate II, III or IV in Business or Administration
  • Develop practical workplace and communication skills
  • Build confidence for future employment or study

You’ll be supported in your learning through:

  • On-the-job mentoring and supervision
  • Structured training and development
  • Additional study support through our partnership with Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA)

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll assist with:

  • General office administration (emails, filing, data entry, calendar management)
  • Reception duties (welcoming clients, answering phones, directing enquiries)
  • Supporting staff with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Maintaining office supplies, records and workspace presentation

You’ll be part of a team that supports the community and helps people access important services.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Is currently attending school (Year 10 or above)
  • Is interested in business, administration or office work
  • Is willing to complete a traineeship qualification
  • Has good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Is reliable and willing to learn in a team environment

No previous work experience is required.
