About the Opportunity
Note: This is a full time (12 month) maternity leave contract with flexibility to be based in Darwin or Nhulunbuy.
As Program Manager you will lead the delivery and ongoing development of the East Arnhem Children Services program, including Communities for Children initiatives and Child Friendly East Arnhem activities.
Working closely with government, community organisations, Aboriginal Controlled Organisations and local stakeholders, you will help drive positive outcomes for children and families through collaboration, community development and evidence-based practice.
Based on the successful candidate's preference, this role can be located in Darwin or East Arnhem (Nhulunbuy).
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Qualifications in Early Childhood, Community Development, Social Work, Social Sciences or a related discipline
- Significant experience within community services, social services or community development
- Demonstrated experience working in partnership with Aboriginal communities and organisations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience leading teams, managing contracts, budgets and service delivery outcomes
- Knowledge of collective impact, community development and evidence-based practice approaches
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
