About the Position 
You will provide work within a strengths-based framework to support frail aged people (65 years and over, or 50 and over for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples) with coordinated and integrated services to recipients and their carers. Encouraging social inclusion and independence in their home and community; thereby enhancing their quality of life and reducing the likelihood of early admission to long-term residential care.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III Individual Support / Aged or Disability and/or at least one (1) years' experience in individual support or community services.  You will have proven experience in and/or demonstrated willingness to provide domestic assistance, personal care and social support (access to community for shopping or other activities). You will have good time management skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively work within a team.

You will uphold the values of Anglicare NT and provide quality services within the scope of the position and associated delegations.

Casual rate: $38.07 - $39.26 per hour

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory driver's licence.

Anglicare NT is currently undertaking a workplace consultation regarding the ongoing requirements for workers to be vaccinated. We anticipate an outcome by the end of August. In the interim, Anglicare NT strongly encourages everyone, who is medically able, to be fully vaccinated (included the booster) against COVID-19.

Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
