About the Opportunity:

The Bereavement Network Facilitator is pivotal in developing a community of practice that provides best-practice bereavement support, fosters resilience, and enhances community awareness about bereavement, loss, and grief. You will lead and nurture a collaborative network of service providers in Central Australia, to make a tangible difference in those affected by bereavement.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  •  Support the establishment of a community of practice within the network, promoting shared learning and collaboration
  • Initiate public conversations and frameworks for a compassionate communities approach to increase community awareness and support
  • Host public events exploring bereavement, loss, and grief, fostering shared learning, cross-cultural conversations, and resilience
  • Arrange workshops or activities to initiate and develop the bereavement network

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work or Health and/or extensive experience in community engagement, mental health, social work, or a related field
  • Experience in contemporary clinical approaches and practices related to bereavement support.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • High-level ability to effectively communicate, engage and negotiate with key stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering group facilitation/workshops

Note: This is a temporary part time position (until 30 June 2025) 2 - 3 days per week.
