About the Program
Anglicare NT provides a range of support options for older people and people with a disability through federally funded home care packages, the Commonwealth Home Support Program and the NDIS, including social and individual support, community access, transport, domestic assistance, personal care and home and yard maintenance.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking people with a variety of experience, skills and/or interests who feel they could make a valuable contribution in the lives of others and be part of a caring and hard-working team. You will provide direct care and practical assistance to individuals and in approved group activities that enable participants to live as independently as possible in their own home and community.
In this fulfilling and varied role, a typical workday may involve taking an older person shopping and for a medical appointment, delivering Meals on Wheels, tidying up a person's home, running a group hunting trip or taking women out to collect weaving materials. This role may require some flexibility of hours and travel across communities on the Gove Peninsula region.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must provide 100 points of identification to confirm Australian citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia; possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a validNT driver’s licence.
Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
