About headspace

headspace are a dynamic and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.

 

About the Opportunity

 

Please note: This is a short-term six-month contract

 

In this rewarding role, you will provide assertive work and study support using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Framework to young people engaged with a clinical team at headspace Darwin and headspace Palmerston.  In collaboration with the young person, family/support and clinician, you will support young people between 15 and 25 years to improve their educational and employment outcomes to gain rapid, competitive and meaningful employment as well as career development.

To be successful you will have:

  • A qualification or experience in recruitment, human resources or organisational development (or equivalent relevant field).
  • Sound knowledge or experience in employment services or other occupational rehabilitation fields and experience working with young people in gaining employment/engaging in study.
  • Proven commitment to working with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families to provide culturally appropriate and safe mental health and vocational services.
