About headspace

headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.

About the Opportunity

As the Centre Manger you will provide effective and high-quality leadership of headspace teams across our Darwin and Palmerston sites. You will ensure the service delivers quality early intervention youth mental health services to young people aged 12-25 within the headspace model of evidence based best practice. You will provide support to Clinical Leads and senior staff to ensure effective model delivery, clinical governance, and adherence to reporting requirements. You will actively seek to engage, collaborate, and strengthen key partnerships with service providers in the region that supports the four key pillars of the headspace primary services model.

What we are looking for:

  • An approved tertiary qualification (Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Registered Nurse)
  • An effective leader with (minimum 5 years) experience providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams within a clinical mental health setting.
  • A passion for youth mental health and keen interest in service improvement, access, and cultural safety of mental health services
  • Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
