About headspace
headspace are a busy and innovative youth mental health service providing a variety of mental health, medical, sexual and other health related services as well as vocational, functional groups and social services to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their families.
About the Opportunity
As Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and direct care to young people experiencing or at risk of a first episode of psychosis, while supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, culturally safe, and evidence-based mental health services
As Clinical Lead, you will:
- Pro vide clinical supervision, leadership, and line management to Early Psychosis staff
- Deliver direct clinical care to a small caseload of young people and their families
- Ensure services align with the Australian Early Psychosis Guidelines and headspace model
- Lead quality assurance activities including clinical reviews, audits, and team in-services
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and Clinical Director to drive continuous improvement
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Approved tertiary qualification (Allied Health) and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW.
- A minimum five (5) year experience in a mental health discipline.
- Proven leadership and clinical supervision experience
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with young people and their families, providing empathetic and supportive care.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and clinical case management.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues impacting young people, best practice treatment options, support services and co-morbidities.
- A passion for youth mental health, in particular working with young Aboriginal people and their families, and keen interest in improving service, access, and cultural safety of primary youth services.
